The only tip i can give you is, make sure the "filliment" on the HID bulb which looks like a bubble, that contains the xenon sits where the original filliment did in the old bulb. So if the old bulbs filliment stuck out 40mm from where it was mounted the HID's xenon "bubble" sho...

i converted my 800's and they are great. With a nice even spread and good penetration . and from what i remember of the 900s i had years ago they'd be good to . mine are 55w 6000k i got them off ebay after returning a jaycar kit because they wouldn't fit , the globes were to long and hit the housing...

So i was doing a bit of maintenance to the old girl the other day 80 series. When i checked the rear diff oil. and it looked a bit discoloured (grease from the wheel bearings due to leaky seals) so i drained it and wiped the magnetic bung which had a few metal filings and shock horror one small chip...

my mtr's have done somewhere in the vincinity of 65 thousand kays and been run as low as 16 psi for quite long beach runs eg granville harbour to the pieman river and back . with no dramas other than rolling one off its bead by hitting a submerged log. i've also had one or two off the rims repairing...

Caused Moose to whale on the free spool lever to try and unhook the tensioned cable and break it. i would have thought that a broken lever would be the expected result of this treatment (abuse) of even an expensive winch . not sure maybe its just me but i find a bit of sympathy goes a long way towar...

wow i like the idea of putting the switches there i'd never thought of that mine are in the centre console so they can easily get knocked on or off by things flying round the cabin might go out and do some investigating.

Just got off the phone with peter at hoppers stoppers apparently the tailshaft mounted disc handbrake won't fit the full time 4wd cruiser its designed for the 75/78/79 apparently they have a smaller gearbox . he said it might fit the part time 4wd 80s but wasn't really sure. :cry:
