Blinkers
Just a bit of info. The flasher will blink faster if the RESISTANCE has changed - ie using one globe, not two. Not so much the process of heating up and cooling the globes. LED resistance is different to incandecant globes. Though the blinker unit does heat up and cool down the bi-metalic switch and ...

Sliders
Sliders are actually strong tubes that are fitted under the chasis rails, sometimes steps are added for dual purpose, but sidesteps alone are not rock sliders.

The rims I have now are 1" wider offset for the moment. The thing I am concerned with is the rear bar - you said you raised the rear bar to the next bolt holes up (using just the upper mounts). Now, I have cut the blocks at 32mm tall, I thought thats what you had, but I may be out by as much as 8mm ...

Just adding this info for anyone that may search the archives in the future. The standard bolt lengths are 80mm, so for a 40mm body lift the replacement bolts will be 120mm. The standard mounts are 50mm diameter, so I will be getting 60mm diameter blocks for fun - no real reason. the radiator is ...

Rocsta Body lift
What size works?
I am looking at 32mm cause I know it has been done, but is 50mm still okay? Anything extra that needs to be thought about?
I am wondering if I will then fall into trouble with the gear levers etc.
Is the radiator bolted to the chasis?

Right, so I have decided to go for the plastic ones - mainly to minimise any squeeks. They tel me the pick is the black material, I am happy with that for the simple reason in will look more factory, but they say it is tougher stuff compared to the white - is this going to cause a problem? Thanks ...

where to buy bodylift block material (sydney west)
I am looking for body lift blocks - 30mm. I am fine to cut and drill them if I can get the rod. I am looking for the white plastic stuff, think it is called UPHW?
If I buy them from a 4wd shop, I have been quoted $30ea - not a chance and I need 13 of them.
Thanks, James.

Body lift
great find - thanks. So, the blocks are 30mm taller (is this what you have done?) The bolts are 40mm longer - do you know the overall length of the original or new bolts? Are they all the same length? What material did you use the uhw (or whatever that plastic is called, or alluminium?) did you ...

Extended shackles
I have done a few searches and come back with heaps of answers, so I will only ask the stuff that needs to be asked here. I actually have a Rocsta, it is leaf spung front and rear. The springs sit fairly flat - are flatter springs better for articulation compared to curvy springs? The main problem I ...

Well, the job is now done. it actually exists on a 45 degree angle behind the rear wheel - maybe its just my immagination, but I seem to not get any fumes now, where before I was - probably something to do with the aerodynamics, or lackof ;-) Thanks to everyone for the advice. Cheers, James. PS: I ...

Paul - time for lift. Yesterday I crushed the exhaust. Was thinking of shackles, but that only lifts half the extra length of the shacke, so 2" shackle raises 1" Can do a spring lift, but may be costly. My problems are the rear bar and the sills. Does the rear bar come up with the body, or is it ...

side exit
Thats great news - I plan to have it exit behind the rear wheel - not infront of it, so I hope it is able to be done.
I usually have the top down, or at least the rear window wound up.
Thanks for the advice already.
Cheers, James
