You dont need a whole kit really, the heat exchanger is nothing special and you can buy water pumps cheap enough... I picked up a subaru intercooler from trade me in NZ and it cost me 49 posted to my door... I won it for 6 but the rest was postage..

OKay okay i can see where you are all coming from now, maybe there is a reason why people dont do it the way i have described.. So the most common practice is A and A+B and thats it... I actually didnt know about that " sense " wire. Is there an easy way to find out which one it is. Is it easy enough to split that wire to so it goes to both batteries or will that not work when u charge A+b.. When it comes to charging the " B " battery or AUX i would only switch it on on long drives and possibly go A+B and the just B... Im pretty sure my idea will work a couple of concerns are wether those 100amp solenoids can handle the charge from the alt?? Im pretty sure i read somewhere they can ...

I know this is an old post to dig up but dave what radiator/heat exchanger did you use, the std one or an aftermarket one?? Also did you use the std subaru water pump... Hey guys, all went well except the bloody rear captives.. They started spinning on the spot and no amount of bashing would get it out so had to drill the suckers out... I cannot believe how hard it is to get to some of the bolts, its crazy.. Also those parts that hold the carrier when its in the closed position like a u shaped piece of rubber inside a metal bracket , anyone got any photo's of where they go?? One on top and one underneath??

Am gonna install with just bolts and very decent washers for now and when i have more time i will make up some plates for it.. Its only got a split rim going on it so shouldnt be too bad.
