I am quite familiar with the IFS

I have a hilux LN106 with lots of slop in the steering the slop is coming from the arm thats attatched to the pitman arm and then to the (i presume) J arm

Im asking because im going to the wreckers tomorow and dont want to sound like a newb

so IFS rears upfront (SR5) what about the back?

I would like about 3-4" of lift without going crazy length shackles

yes i know another one and i have done a search and read the bible (hilux that is) I want lift and flex I read a little about mazda leafs

What type of mazda are they talking about ?

Would ifs rears be better

Very little.

There is more difference between the different grades of tube, or the different grades of pipe than what there is between the two. Both come in a huge range of wall thicknesses and manufacture type.

i've jut pulled my oldwater pump off (non genuine) and measured it up against a genuine one and they are quite different. The genuine pump sits its impellor 15mm into the block, measured the old one and it only sits 11-12mm into the block. The imellor is also smaller on the non gen one ...

The lights on my dash for the turbo arnt working since i put a 2.8 diesel in my surf and put my turbo on it. I can hear it spooling up but the lights do not come on, the wastegate was working before i changed motor, but im not sure how it works

does whatever controlls the lights tell the wastegate ...

I have a 90 surf ifs
lift engine or drop diff

will putting a 2 1/2" exhaust on it reduce egt

if the pump needs to come off to do it then it will have to wait

is it a diy job to swap one over from a 2lt

i have just put a 3L into my surf and put a turbo on aswell the 3L pump does not have a boost compensator do i need one if it makes any difference i have a manual

thats what i was planning to do then my dad (been a mechanic for 4o years) said this would reduce the flow or something like that and it would only be good for a temp job untill i got it sorted i was going to put a t piece in the return line
