Playdoh and Defender are not even in the same class, playdoh is a chicks shopping trolley and a defender is about the only purpose built serious offroader available ( troopy is another but so agricultural) . I would say if they are the to choices then stick with the prado as they obviously have no ...

All pulse tuning is taken care of in the headers. The exhaust after that just needs to get rid of gas as fast as it can . Larger volume (diameter) pipe = more expansion/cooling of gas within = slower gas flow (but reduced losses due to pumping). So perhaps you meant "The exhaust after that jus...

Simple, fit a pod filter straight off the turbo intake. Did this to my surf as a temporary setup and turbo hiss is ridiculous. Nice growl off boost though. Maybe invest in a wank tap (blow off valve). Always funny to see the expression on an Evo driver's face when u pull up at the lights in a truck...

I've never heard of torsion bars sagging but you can adjust them either up or down, IFS 4runners can be adjusted from stock height up roughly two inches. After market torsion bars can be excessively stiff and ruin your ride quality. Note you will probably want to invest in some spacers to drop your ...

In the colour spectrum the colour blue will give you the furtherest amount of light, if it went to violet it'd go even further but the colour tint might be too much for some people. Blue and violet are the last colours to be filtered out that's why the Sky is blue, it also goes the deepest into wat...

http://www.toyotasurf.asn.au/techsite/diffbreathers.htm Landrover factory extended breathers work well, though they require some 'persuasion' to get the British thread into the diff housing. Other than that just take the stock breather down to your local hydraulics/air store and match the thread up...

I think the power required to run the supercharger would vary with the size and type (positive displacement, dynamic etc) of the supercharger.

An interesting article:

Best exhaust notes I've heard are, in no particular order: RB26DET Skyline M3 BMW Any dual plane v8 perhaps excluding the LS1 p51-Mustang Worst is probably a draw between my old 1.3 laser after removing all the exhaust system apart from the extractors (people turned around expecting to see something...

My (quick)thoughts: If you're after a diesel Surf, go for the 1KZ (3litre turbo). The 2.4T needs a 2.5" drain, boost increase and an intercooler before power is adequate. The 2.8 non turbo is pretty bulletproof and probably the motor I'd most likely feel happy with in the bush/desert as far as ...

Just a side note - the Exhaust Gas Recirculation port on the exhaust manifold (if fitted) makes an excellent place to put an EGT probe once you've removed the EGR system - killing two birds with one stone.

V6HILUX, ok then one day I can be as smart as you????????? No, one can only aspire to reach such a level of intellect. Just to clarify: Detonation - instantaneous ignition of a portion of the fuel/air mixture in the form of an explosion. Pre-ignition - when the air/fuel mixture in the cylinder gnit...
