Thanks Scott, great info.
I do plan on doing some outback drives next year, or certainly during the life of the next tyres, so I guess I should look at something heavier.

Tyre recommendations?
The tyres on the 100 series are just about flogged, and I want to get people's opinions on what to replace them with.
Also, can someone explain the sizing to me? I am only cluey with imperial tyre measurements.
The markings on the tyres are 265/70 R17, and 112/109 R. From those numbers, what is ...

I would plan to run an antiwrap bar like Alien has as well. If you plan it now, you should be able to incorporate it nicely.

Re: Which pin is positive on 3 way fridge plug?
It is in a caravan.
The caravan has female cig lighter sockets, with heavy cabling running to the battery.
The fridge also has heavy-ish wiring running to this type of socket:

Im going to cut if off any replace for male cig lighter.

I would probably look at running nothing larger than 33s, and the TD5 certainly looks like it fits my time range.

Ideally, your shackles will point backwards at about 40 degrees.
If they are straight up and down, you will experience a hard ride.
In one of your flex pics, your far side shackle was at about the right angle, but this was under compression, so I suspect that they might be too vertical.

Reason I ask is that my shocks (adjustable Ranchos) should be soft enough, but my stoopid shackle angle ruins my ride.

No, everything is bolted back to where it needs to be - I have triple checked everything I can without removing the Smotor, but I guess I have to again.

Found problem I think...
Somehow dislodged the splash guard, so the front was flapping about.
EDIT - Nope, noise is still there.
Any ideas anyone?

OK,

Re: Rocker breather?
It is an emission thing, so that your burning oil fumes get reburned by being fed into your intake.
You could/should probably hook up an oil catch can somewhere and run it to your rocker cover.

Yeah found it, fanks.
I just have to work out what does what - It looks like there is an idle up solenoid on this carb too, but there are a few bolts etc missing, so I need to get all that together first.
I am clueless when it comes to vacuum lines I have found.

Having never owned a car with a manual choke before, what sort of cable should I be looking for to suit my 4k carb in my 1.3 Sierra?
Had a look on ebay for a few, but they were bad pics.
I am guessing the cable is in a sleeve of sorts, and fixed at the dash end somehow?
Would a hand throttle like ...
