Crate engines
That price sounds good, however you need to allow for all of the accessories to go onto the engine, you'll soon be up for at least an extra several thousand $$$$ if you incorporate the original ecu, wiring harness etc. I have installed a new Gen IV 550 Hp LS7 into my GU Patrol and I know how much F*...

Aircon pump.
I know somone who tried this and it didn't work too well. He ended up scrapping the whole thing. It can't supply enough pressure into your reserve cylinder to maintian pumping up you're tyres quickly. It wasn't even good enough to use with an air gun to blow out dust and crap out of the engine bay. ...

Its long reply but a good answer to your debate.
We compared the Suburban in stock trim with the 6-inch IFS lift from RCD and the ORU 6-inch live-axle conversion. In stock trim the Suburban would easily drag its rocker panels on bumps in the trail. The RCD IFS lift improved this, but the real clearance gains were seen with the live-axle conversion...

Its quite hard to expalin in detail what you need to do, however you need to take into conscideration whether you want them side by side, apart, are you incorporating a spring/s etc. I know a few people with...

SHOCKER ABSORBER HEIGHTS!!!!!!!!!
I have removed the original factory shock and spring mounts to make provision for some Triple Bypass and Coil-over shocks. Can anyone please tell me how to work out what height I need to mount my shocks, they are longer travel than the original setup? I'm not sure how high to make my shock hoops. Is...
