Re: (QLD) 3L 2.8 litre valve springs - price, where to buy e

C'mon people!

Another question - are 1HZ valve springs the same physical dimensions as the Lux? If they are,, good but would they work at a different tension/pressure to the Hilux ones?

First correct/helpful answer gets a Chupa-Chup in the mail :D :D

(QLD) 3L 2.8 litre valve springs - price, where to buy etc?

As above - Need a complete set rather quickly but don't wan't to sell a kidney to get them. Is Toyota the only, or best, place for these or can someone suggest elsewhere. Already tried a couple of cylinder-head shops here and in Brissy without luck.

Sounds like a great weekend Shane. Happy birthday too.

So is the comp postponed again or did the guys get some runs in? I was going to come up with the camera but the Lux's engine is still in bits.

Re: 2.8d Hilux Overheating Issue

^^ Hanko can you tell us the price difference between your Chinese eBay radiator and the Aussie recore?

I'm looking at replacing my old OEM radiator at the moment too and I've seen the eBay ones for around $330. From local radiator shops the cheap ones (they won't say they're from China) are ...

Re: Has anyone bought from Nationwide Autoparts?

Haven't used them but I don't know about being cheap.

Just priced a radiator on their website for my AU Falcon at $226.

I can get the same radiator via a number of eBay Auto Aftermarket sellers for $130 - $150.

Always pays to check and shop around I reckon.

The 'OL' in OL X-ROX Bar stands for Opposite Lock. That's probably where I'd start. ;) But they are being sold by a few other retailers now too. They're made by Outback Accessories in West Oz.

There's are probably eleventy topics on this but my two cents worth anyway...

Fair chance that your rear diff will be LSD but most likely useless anyway like most Hilux LSD's. I have a 96 model and use Castrol's 90 weight LSD oil front and rear - LSX 90 I think it's called.

It's worth what the highest bidder wants to pay for it. In fairness if it was mine I'd be wanting at least $800 to $1k for it. Warn is good but the trouble is you're competing against so many other cheap, brand new winches with warranty.

If it's the pinion seal there'll be a spray of oil fanning across the underside of the body too - easy tell-tale to see if that's what it is.
