yeh well when people question why i am thinking about a prado i thought i would show them why

Hi all, i have just purchased a 2000 prado vzj95r gxl with only 101000 kms on the clock.

I was wondering what mods you would recomend i am mainly doing beach work with it but will also be heading out west and having some fun in the mud.

It is stock except it already has rust proofing.

this is proving to be harder than i thought, how are the 4.2 td patrols on fuel i would be guesing they would be pretty damn thirsty. I am pretty sure i will stay away from the 3 ltrs due to reading about the problems they have. I ahvnt heard anything bad about the prados but there isnt a real lot ...

sorry to bring up this old one but are there any of the 3ltr td's that seem to be better than the others i am currently looking for an 02 03 model. you guys have nearly convinced me to go the 4.2 but i would prefer a newer model.

Hi i am looking at getting an 01 patrol 3 ltr td and have heard that there are 2 series apparantly the first series has a shit diff in it.

Does any one no how to tell the diffrence in the diffs?

thanks i think i am going to get the 4.2 td patrol 03 model. they seem to be pretty good

I am thinking of getting a Prado 02 model or newer and i am just wondering if there are any models i should stay away from.

Also the economy of the car is important turbo Diesel vs unleaded
