Depends what you want it for....

If it is to reduce auto temps when towing and reduce auto wear and improve engine braking in general - then no.

If it is for better engine control on very slow speed hill decents where 1st low is not slow enough - then yes.

That is only if you have the extreme valve body installed.

I you install just the lock up relay kit, it wont stall as it wont lock up in 1st.

Have you done any other upgrades like the extreme valve body kit?

so, if you are driving along the road, lock up the TC and then stop at a set of lights - your engine will stall?

I have an electronic version fitted to my auto 80 and to be honest I have rarely used it. Initially I lacked confidence in low low on steep descents so fitted the lock up. The problem with it is, if I let the revs drop too much on steep descents then the engine cuts out, and that is not very ...

For the benefit of others, You need to do one thing at a time to work out what the issue is. First thing I would do is re-oil your fan clutch - if it has done 150,000K or more, this is probably the issue... Good news is that Toyota fan clutches are one of the only ones that you can renew the oil on ...

In my experience, 6mm auto cable is not neccesarily large enough. 6mm2 cable is what is minimum. Auto cable is different in that auto cable is measured as diameter including the plastic coating. 6mm2 is the cross section of actual wire. Your fridge will be more efficient using 6mm2. Also, 6mm2 may ...
