Don't know about economy except i drove to Landcruiser Park did some tracks and drove home on a standard fuel tank. Mine was running 3.9 ratio which made it a bit low on power taking off but still drove Hilux Hill ...

hey mate i done a vl turbo motor into mine a couple of year ago and yeah the sump needs swapping and oil pick up. just from memory the radiator inlet flange is different along with your power steer pump and alternator will have a different pulley on it as to the new rb30 your putting in if i think ...

not to sure mate but im selling a rb30 gearbox + transfere very soon if thats any help

haha yeah iv gone past plenty they havent looked twice i wanted it as low as i could get it with enough lift to still get around rolled 3 cars now so trying my best to stay on all 4s

iv had the back tuck up and rub on the gaurds which are there now but thats all not i dont jump my ute tho may smash front gaurds when ya jumping it

im with macneil there i ran a t4 as thats what i had kicking around off the old vl was great racing commys down the street but in the bush it was a pig went no where try getting a good T3 boost it up see how that goes for ya

im running 4 inch ride pro springs and shocks everything else has been made up works awsome really happy with it i pulled my body lift out cut the front gaurds running 37s works well

gday bigbluemav yeah i looked into doing the 4.2 conversion but converting it from a petrol i really need a whole doner car to swap all the gear over and from experiance all my mates have had to turbo there 4.2s for extra power and realisticly i should sell me truck and buy one with a 4.2 in it but ...

yeah from what iv heard the ls1 is worth about 10k for the conversion it would be nice just for what i wanna do i cant justify it even tho it would crack

thanks alot guys i was thinking the same thing with the 5.0 having cast heads gotta be a good thing i plan on getting the standard motor in and doing engine work down the track just so i no what it goes like and work up from there as to how i want it to proform. Money isn't really a problem with it ...

yeah im converting from a 3ltr petrol which iv turbod and played with for 2 years now and sik of it to many head aches i put a 253 in my old hilux and it took a caining so im keen to get an 8 back

as the title reads im chasing a mq ute cab in any condition as only need the back quarter of the cab for a conversion preffer vic, nsw, south aus. area.

ok thanks mate im looking at going from my gq LWB wagon to a ute its got the 3ltr vl turbo motor in it and the gearboxs are small compared to the other patrol gearboxs bu may still become an issue maybe?

hey guys just wondering if any one can tell me the difference between the gq and mq ute cabs? im wanting to convert it to a single cab ute and just wondering will i run into any problems with a mq cab cheers.
