if its ony in the morning or after a time that it hasent run for a while ( few hours ) you may have a vacume leak in a fuel line i had same trouble in my deisel patrol spent many many dolars on it and still not fixed went out bought 40$ on new fuel line and all solved.. its the cheapest option ...

if they put them in from the factory without modification then you shouldnt need to either sayin that doing a simple mod may make it a ton easier jack the whole car up put it on axel stands and using a trolley jack with a gearbox adaptor ( wrong name for it i know but can buy them from supa chep ...

the motor came with the holley on it when i bought it and i thought a solex would be cheaper cause there a millions of dead rangies with 3.5's up here.. the side draft strombergs and the solex look very simular but the solex carby is a knock off of the original... they are practically the same but ...

ebay has heaps on there they prettymuch all alloy jobbys from RCI i have a 51L one in my zook they use a 0-90ohm sender so you may need to buy a fuel gauge aswell... making one is fairly straight forward but pretty time consuming just buy aluminised steel and have a crack

turbos work off motor load .... eg. more throttle open in congunction wit a certain will load turbo more and give you shove in the back feeling everyone loves... without wastegate the turbo would overboost the motor to point it would cause serious damage... external wastegates are for high flow big ...

yeah baack to a touch above standard i should say.... like 15PSI or so... i want better ecconomy and not the pig scarin roar that she belts out.... it was either get pigs when huntin or have bulk power... i love huntin too much so the power gotta be cut

yes it is heaths old cooler... works really well to... nothin to serious really i like to hunt go for cruises occasionally and mix it wit some of the commodore/falcon boys ;)

cant prove it cause dyno sheet is mounted on wall of dyno but she hit 160+ KW at rears and almost 900 NM of torque but that saga is over its time to go crazy on a petty motor maybe wit gas

my deisel is totally done.... ran out of advance in the injector pump so had to throw a new camshaft in her, the turbo iss some custom lob by garret its got A/R .70 on the compressor side and A/R .68 on the turbine side i no its been hi flowed... its also uses a ball bearing center... currently ...

i just replaced my one like a month ago. pull your gearstick out and there is a small white bush/cup that should be on the bottom of the stick costs $130. from nissan....
also check the cover plate on top of the box to make sure that the locating pins on the gearstick top swivel bush havent chewed ...

origonally belonged to Kevin Nott ...
its the upgrade of the one featured on A.R.E's site on that super powerfull patrol...
costs about 5 grand to make one so kev said...
ill take photos on tuesday cause ill be puttin G/box in that night...
