Anything new on the US contact?
Still interested and if I were to go ahead I'd want it completed before Cruise Moab '08.

Large Power Steering Reservoir ????
I did a quick search looking for info on PS reservoirs and such and wasn't able to find anything. It was brought up in the 80's section on MUD by a guy that's originally from Venezuela. He thought there was a larger reservoir on the 70 series. If something is available it would be great if this ...

Sorry for the delay in getting back to this. I have to disagree with this, as EGT measurement is more for determining combustion characteristics ( overfueling etc.) than whether your going to melt your turbo, thus as close to the exhaust valve as possible is best. Just looking at the pic attached ...

Definitely pre turbo and ideally as close to the inlet as practical. I have had a turbo'd petrol car and many of the aircraft I've maintained all have had TIT (Turbine Inlet Temp) indication. If you're pulling a load or making a lot of power you want to know the inlet temp. Upstream is helpful but ...

Thanks Mick. Prof, Thinking about the idea. It just concerns me to have more "stuff" out in front of the axle to smack into rocks. Whose your rep here stateside (Christo)? Fill me in on the details. I'd like to do a 3 link but I just don't have time and a place to hook up a welder in our apartment ...

petrol engine swap
Question...has anyone stateside or in OZ ever swapped out the petrol engine in the 80 series for a GM/Holden V8? I have been looking around for improvements in the powerplant dept and the TRD supercharger and Safari turbo seem to be the only options. However, they are a wee bit spendy. I would think ...

Yet another OEM locker question
Well, I quick checked out the OEM locker actuators, no water or anything bad. Can someone clarify a hypthosis I have? Here goes.....stop vehicle, put into low range (no diff lock light), drive 10 meters, stop, rotate axle locker switch and all I get is flashing lights regardless of how or what ...

Thank you gents. Said vehicle is a US spec model so it has disc brakes. Not that it makes much difference. I'll keep spraying PB on them and smacking them with a mallet until they loosen up. I'll have to look into the locker actuators once it warms up. I need to get the service manual. The 40 series ...

80 series Pbrake question and lockers
I recently purchased a '94 80 series. After checking things out I have only come up with two problems w/o an obvious solutions. 1. When the Pbrake is pulled it won't release. After some investigation the pivots on the Pbrake levers at the wheel are rather corroded inside the little boot. Is there a ...
