I don't think so a MK1/Gen 1 Pajero had Air-Locker as a factory fitted item....only Gen 2 had it,but you can swap it to the Gen 1 rear axle if the pumpkin diameter are the same "not sure if Gen 1 is equip with 8.5" or 9" rear axle" :roll: Just a suggestion,why don't you consider to put a Factory LSD ...

There is no way you can create Turbo Flutter noise in a Diesel.....as the engine uses up all the boost pressure when decelerate rather than restrict it like the petrol's do.....the diesel control it's speed/AFR by regulate amount of fuel injected and not amount of air flow into the cylinder so there ...

If u guys had seen my last post regarding the Free Wheeling Hub,you guys will know about i have some noise problem when the hub is locked in 2WD mode.....but further investigation,the noise is from the Transfer-Case,not from the front axle...... when i still got em (now i'm using gen2 hubs and axle), i always set it to free when i'm not in 4wd mode. by engaging it to lock, you also force the drive shafts to unnecessary movements and introduce unnecessary wear to them. imho, i don't think its the free wheeling hubs that's making the noise ...

Or some bad news.....some Coils on Pajeroes 2.6 (4G54) use Ballast Resistor Coils (BRC) ..... they are not operate at 12V but at 6V so putting a direct 12V to them will direct burnt them out ...... Try to find a friend who willing to borrow the coil for you "Make sure it's the same type" and fit it ...

Hi mate....try to put a Bulb in series.....disconnect the Negative lead from both battery and connect either one side of the bulb terminal to the battery Negative lead,put another terminal to the battery negative terminal and a setup is complete ;) See if the bulb is lit up or not,if it does lit ...

Hi Bitsamissin and Cameron.... Cameron....Suprised that you were are also :) .... Its a MK2 i think,the Mechanic say from a 2.5TD ;) Bitsamissin....i just discover it was machined on the top of bellhousing,can be seen through the bottom of the firewall....but don't know good or bad it was a V5M21 ...

4WD Illumination Light Switch???
Does anyone are there is any switch on the Transfer-Case of a Pajero Mk1 to illuminate the light on the instrutment cluster when in 4WD mode?
