he's right. try getting hold of some 60 series springs, they're quite a bit longer, but with longer shackels, you shouldnt have to move mounts. looks cool when you can get a leafy flexing

if you wanna correct pinion angle, get adjustable uppers. a friend runs a 5'' lift with standard lowers, adjustable uppers and boss shocks. you have to be carefull with longer lowers because as you said you will get close to your rear 1/4, though with 33's you should be ok. We're smashing the rear 1 ...

My understanding is that yes gas charging was introduced to reduce aeration, but comes at the expense of replacing the volume of oil contained within the shock. If you pull one of these shocks apart you will notice there is only just enough oil to cover the piston and valve, once this small amount of ...

Problem is if you go removing too many leaves from the packs, they cant resist diff wrap. so you'd have to fit a wrap bar at least, and really once youve fit the bar, you can go quite soft with the leaf packs, so i dont see the point in fitting the coil. leaves can be pretty good once you get them ...

Boss shocks by offroad boss. I run them on my comp truck and now my tow/tourer. They're 100% oil filled so do not fade, adjustable to allow for the massive change in weights your going to have, and are covered by a 12 month warranty

Be carefull if your getting to much uptravel, with big tires (37's). I bought a set of superflex arms from offroad boss, had to lower the bumpstops to stop the tire tucking up and touching the steering box. Even if it clears with smaller tires, my opinion is with too much tuck you just end up ...

no matter what, there will always be someone disadvantaged in some way by the rules. u cant write rules that will suit everyone. if an lsd is considered the same as a locker, fine. if u dont like it buy a locker or whatever it is that makes u more competitive. no ones stopping u. but before u do ...

ha, even worse, runnin the old 2f motor :) funny as it sounds its a brilliant low range motor. something like 270 ft/pounds of torque, n still revs to 4500 or so, had been lookin at other alternatives, but found unless i build a fairly tough v8 there wouldnt be enough advantage to be worth it. not ...

have seen these work on a 7" lifted troll ute, with plenty of grunt, power up steep off camber hills, down some gnarly off camber hills, and generally perform very well in a local comp in various terrain, very well. so far cant pick a negative. then stuck the bolt in n drove it home, one very happy ...

i paid 27.50 too, and also found it odd that i paid more then the spectators with me. i recall most other parks i compete at usually work a deal to allow competitors in cheaper or for free, seeing as the comp brings people to the park. poor guy on the counter was certainly never briefed on wot to do ...

ive done the 4 to 5 speed change, but was some time ago so a little hazy on the details. havent come across an auto shaft so dont know about there length, the 5 speed ones are far more common anyway. i reused the top part of the old shaft, the female part of the slip yoke, n got a five speed tail ...
