I have a '99 TD42 wagon and have just swapped out the chassis (which is a TC series according to the vin number) with what was supposed to be the same beast. just into a cab off chasis rebuilt - the rear tank is not too hard to remove, the rear drivers side inner guard gets at the hoses, a floor jack and six bolts gets the tank - just make sure it is basically empty. Tip the tank upside down and use the return inlet to drain.
