theoretically you can push until the suction nozzle is out of the water... For me you should also make waterproof electrical system... I've seen many times 3.0V6 (generally gasoline powered off road veichles) with electrical problems during or after a ford... Diesel ones are less sensible to water...

Most models mount the entire grid of plastic, black or chrome. Some mount instead a grid that has a plastic frame that supports a wire mesh. However, it's a genuine spare mitsubishi.

Rubber bits are for isolation, then a 1 inch b.l. is stock on 2.8/3.5 because of the larger gearbox than 2.5/3.0.
So it dipends on which 2gen you do a b.l.

the white one is 3cm teflon cylinder over the 1" mitsu stock rubber and metal b.l.
I prefered to keep the stock bl and to add a 3cm teflon one.
I think both solutions work.

factory body lift (1") is for 3.5/2.8... and then mitsu fitted all models with the 1" b.l. (after '94 year of introduction of new engines 2.8 and 3.5). So the first gen. 2 2.5 and 3.0 have "body on chassis", any b.l. On my 2.8 I've done a 3 cm b.l. (3 + 1" = 5.54cm)... Some friends on 3.0 to have ...

Thanks a lot...
The only thing i haven't understood is why 3.0 front diff is a low pinion and 2.8/3.5 a high one, as told in tech database.
Ciao

Hi... it would be an idea if pajo had the same configuration for front and rear axles, like nissan patrol tr, suzuki samurai, toy bj 70/71, etc etc...
The indipendent front axle limits a lot the lift...
I wouldn't go on...

3.0 gearbox don't fit on a 3.5 engine....
Ok.. I think everything can be done.. so you can fit everything... but starting a new project I'd find the best components to put together without losing too many time in adjusting...
bye

Hi.. may be the 3.0v6 turbo cames from the mitsu gto.
Mitsu never produced a Pajo with v6 turbo engine... only diesel are fitted with it.
The 3.5/2.8 gearbox won't fit on a 3.0 engine.
I think you could find a 3.5 dohc (206 hp) or a 3.5 sohc (194hp)

32" (32-11.50-15,235/85-16, 265/75-16) is the largest size fittable without any modification.
Maybe you'll have to register the torsion bar if the front of your Pajo is a little down...

Before getting four new mtr 33-12.50-15 a friend gave me Pirelli Scorpion in the same size for a test on 8" rims
They fitted but I preferred to do a 3cm body lift... My one is a 2.8 tdi, with factory body and ome +5cm...
