If the fuse is good, then check the reverse light switch on the gearbox. If you disconnect the connector and bridge the pins with ignition on, the lights should turn on, indicating a faulty switch.

With 35s & 4.11s you will be on about 1800rpm at 100k’s. I think that’s too low for a heavy truck. It might have more grunt than your diesel but not at 1800rpm. 2200 to 2500rpm at 100k’s would be good, the v8s like to rev.

I’d say 4.3 for 33s & 4.6 for 35s would be perfect. 4.3s Would be a good compromise overall. I wouldn’t go any higher than the 4.6s because you will suffer on the open roads, especially when running 33s. Try what you have got & work it out from there.

I’m sure you would have checked this out already but does recycle/vent lever work properly? Mine blows hot air when the vent is open, even when it’s set to cold.
I’d be packing up my floors, that wooly underlay is cheap & will make a difference. You can spend more money on a better or different ...

Hi Dave,
Do you feel heat radiating or blowing?
I have had a problem where I can feel heat radiating from the footwell & tunnel due to heat build up from my exhaust, auto & engine. There was also a big difference in how hot it got depending on the weather & winds outside, anything over 25deg would ...

Thanks Joel,
It looks like it was a bad connection on my TPS. I unplugged it, checked the terminal (looked good) & plugged it back in. Power shift didn’t come on once today so fingers crossed. I’ve been told the Holden TPS tend to play up so it could be on its way out.

Hey all,
As you all know the Nissan autos have a power shift function that can be triggered by a button on your shifter or automatically when the auto is put under load. Up until about a month ago I would very rarely see this light turn on automatically, I didn’t have a problem with it as I could ...

Expect 25 to 27lt of LPG p/100 city & 21 to 23lt p/100 hwy.
I would go 5 speed manual as lots of power & economy is lost through the auto.
The disapointment with both stock Holden & Chev V8's is they produce max torque too high in the rev range (Holden 3,600rpm,Chev 4,600rpm)which means high revs to ...

What are the chances of 2 new or reco starters being faulty? Does this happen when the car is hot, cold or both?

It’s possible that it might not be your starter motor. Have you had the prior starters checked out? What do they do?
Do they give up completely or do they play up intermittently?

I suggest you remove your mixer, inspect it for wear & give it a good clean, you will find it is full of that oily residue found in the LPG we use. Be careful not to damage the diaphragms inside & give them a going over with some silicon lube to keep them soft before re-installation. If the ...

I'm pretty much running the same set up you are thinking of. Stock 5 litre, TB42 auto with impco gas system. It’s driven daily & tows my Jayco on camping trips.

As far as I know offset springs must be used in GQ,s. That is because of the added weight of a battery, injection gear, transfer case & 70 litre aux tank all set on the right hand side of the vehicle. Another thing is that if your car has a lean, most of the time it is because of the front springs ...
