Re: Post pics of your Custom Rear wheel carrier.

That looks as though if hangs lower than a standard rear bumper?! It is the same as the rear bar. I ...

Re: ARB EZ Tyre Deflators

I wondered how long it would be before someone mentioned the failret. It doesn't have a gauge. Tyre pressure is not measured in seconds. It's measured in units of pressure. Can anyone see the problem here? Steve. They're a great idea for people who don't actually care what pressure they're running ...

Re: ARB EZ Tyre Deflators

I've got a Ferret tyre deflator. No gauge on it but it lets out 1 psi a second so you just count as you are letting the tyres down.

Re: 150l/min 12v compressors on ebay

I got one off ebay & it works a treat. Will pump up 4 33's from 18psi to 35psi in 8 minutes. It cost $81 + $19 delivery. I got rid of the very ordinary fuse & run it through a 50 amp circuit breaker.

Re: Best value air compressor for your $

I bought the twin cylinder comp off ebay for $100 with delivery. Fitted it in the back 1/4 panel of the 80 series & wired it up with a 100 amp fuse running through a relay. Also plumbed into a small air tank with non-return valve & cut out switch. Will pump up my 33's from 18 to 35 in less than 2 ...

Most trucks run pressures between 8 & 12 bar so the tanks are fairly capable. In my 40 years working on heavy vehicles I have not known of a tank failing unless they were rusted through. I have just "acquired" 2 tanks from a Volvo bus & will be fitting one as soon as I get my compressor built.
