Re: FZJ105 GTX35R 700hp Turbo Build

Loving the build so far! Great pics! I cant wait to see some vids of it.

Just make sure when its getting tuned that the safari snorkel is not restricting your horsepower. I have no idea what CFM they flow, but they dont look like they would support 700hp.

keep up the good work!

You need a boost gauge and a Pyro. Then you can start giving it more fuel. Then you will notice a big difference in power.

Re: What may be causing the bubbles in the rad ??

I have to use the coke bottle every time on my hilux as the turbo coolant lines sit higher than the radiator cap, its the only way to get all the air out. Dont fill the bottle too high initially as the coolant will rise when it gets hot. I'm thinking about emailling coke to get them to re-enforce ...

Is the radiator cap the highest part of your cooling system? Did you remember to turn the heater on whilst bleeding the system? Have you tried the old coke bottle trick in to raise the height of the coolant whilst your bleeding the system? http://i1076.photobucket.com/albums/w443/thermospark ...

25 x-flows had decent compression but can't remember what. Problem is a steel block rather than alloy.they don't handle boost well. Re: Supercharger vs Turbo?

100% Turbocharger, a correctly sized and setup turbo will give you a bucketload of low down torque as well as mid/top end performance. On your engine, it is so easy to pick the turbo size, Ford has already done all the research for you. You need an XR6 turbocharger. I'm pretty sure they have a ...

Re: TD42 stalls when clutch is depressed

if your sitting on perfectly flat ground and put the car in first gear, with your clutch pedal fully depressed, will the car slowly creep forward?

This will help confirm if it is definitely the clutch NOT disengaging that is your problem.

2LT's are the worst motor ever made by Toyota. Seriously, dont do it! It will crack a head if you sneeze near it. Ring a Desiel mechanic and ask them what they think of 2LT's.

I've done the 1G conversion, it was easy. The soarer bellhousing bolted to the hilux gearbox, then it all bolts together. i made my own set of custom engine mounts, i dont think you can get any that will bolt up???

Have a look at my "members ride" thread, its all step by step in there.
