Thanks Wayne Without a reply i re-read the manual, took a deep breath and dived in. Was pretty much as you described. except i had to remove the inlet manifold as well. Couldn't get the fuel supply and return pipework free from the thermostat housing pipework. Had the injectors serviced and boy does ...

Re: Low rev torque on my V6 is crap
Sudso I've got a 97 3.2 V6 jackaroo and it's exactly the same. Feels like a slug until the revs hit 3000 and then it goes like a shower of shite. When 4WDing i just use low range alot and keep an eye on the taco to keep it in the power band. I suppose your rodeo is the 3.5? Had any problem with your ...

Re: Side steps / Rock sliders
just another thing i thought about if you are going to do a body lift you may want to do it before the sliders/steps because if you do the sliders first youd have to modify them so they will look right Good point. Didn't think of that. Ah well looks like i'll have to get that body lift sooner ...

Side Steps / Rock Sliders
Hi all Took the Jack up into the Brindies over the Easter break and gave it a good workout. Unfortunately i managed to bend the paper thin aluminium excuses for side steps that are fitted to it. The steps did their job and protected the stills but now i'm looking for a more solid proposition. Does ...

LPG Conversions for 3.2 Jackaroo.
I'm considering a duel fuel conversion to my 97 3.2L V6 Jackaroo. The hight cost of fuel in Canberra and surrounds has finally made me get off my butt and investigate it after 6 months of thinking about it. Was wondering if anybody else had done it or had an opinion on it's viability/reliability The ...

Bagsy There is a tread on this on works BB. I'll have a look and post the details. In short it has something to do with the differential pressure across the mixer that gets screwed up when the vehicle is fitted with a snorkel. I check but from menory the fix is to plumb a hose from the mixer port ...

Thanks wayne or the brand tip. I was looking at running mobil 1 but will have a look for the shell product. Agree with your comments about keeping the upper viscosity as close to the spec as possible. The lower viscosity is the cols temp spec while the upper on is the hot spec. ie when cold the oil ...
