I think DUDELUX once posted you can get them cheap from truck spares shops like QDS and such. IFRC it was way cheaper than going safari and the like.

Re: D4D Injectors
I remember seeing something on here a while ago about the injectors going on them because they are fragile and we have crappy fuel here.
I think it might've been in gen tech though. Have you searched there?

Re: changing hilux bodys
Quick Question in reguards to this.
Later on down the track I'm considering putting a later model (200ish aswell) extra cab body on my '93 LN106. Would I have to comply with emissions for that body too?

Re: G52 Disassembly
Hey guys, I thought I'd better update this. Whats happend is it looks like when we tried to roll start it in reverse that its broken the 1st/2nd syncroniser, which is weird cause I managed to drive it around the block before the box went bang. Then, when I went to reverse it up my driveway the ...

Re: G52 Disassembly
Hey want33s, I forgot to mention that a syncro keyway thing did fall out of the box when we dropped the oil. Now reverse wouldn't have these would it?
We'd still like to dismantle it, just to see whats happend.
Cheers

Re: G52 Disassembly
Thanks old lux, the old man and I managed to get the transfer case off it and worked out it has to be split in the middle. We took the shifter housing out straight away because the shifter was jammed in reverse and we couldnt get the box out of the car with it in. Now we have managed to get the ...

G52 Disassembly
G'day guys, my 93 hilux broke its G52 trying to clutch start in reverse. The shifter has jammed in reverse and will not move at all on the gearbox. What I need to know is, is it possible to pull down in the shed and see whats wrong, or take it to a gearbox shop. If we can disassemble it at home ...

Re: problem with the injection pump (2l-t 4runner LN61)
Same thing happend to mine. If you have a repair manual then it should be sweet, I managed to get mine off within a couple of hours. The worst part was the price, near on $1000, but along with seals i got some mechanical bits replaced too and it runs like a dream now.
Hope this helps.

Re: fj40 indicator trouble
I've just had mine off, yeah all that is holding it once you undo the to screws are the speedo cable, and two plugs. The speedo cable is a pr1ck to get off, unless you've got E.T fingers. The other plugs have plenty of room, you should be able to pull the whole cluster out and then disconnect them ...

Re: 3L 2.8 diesel - injector pump replacement: HOW TO?
Thats interesting chocko. When i received my pump back it was reset back to TDC, so all we had to do was bolt it on, then the pulley. Also, did you remove your injector lines when you removed your pump? If I remember correctly, we couldnt get a socket between the pump and block and im fairly sure ...

Re: 3L 2.8 diesel - injector pump replacement: HOW TO?
No problems mate! and yes i had a workshop manual with me when i did mine. I will tell you now, the hardest thing is getting the bolt undone between the pump and the block, i could barely get my hand down there, and we had to spanner it off the whole way. Its a serious PITA, we had to use and ring ...

Re: 3L 2.8 diesel - injector pump replacement: HOW TO?
i had the same problem you have to remove all the intake up to the manifold, radiator, timing case, fan and the harmonic balancer, you'll need a puller for this. we also replaced to water pump and timing belt while it was all apart. It took me and my old man one saturday arvo to remove all of the ...

I know after I changed mine a few MONTHS later it started to leak.
It was very minimal, we just ended up tightening it more, even though it was still very tight it fixed it

I'd be loooking at thread-sealers mate. If you use a locker it will make it pretty hard next time you wanna undo the plug.

best heavy duty ATF for F250
My old mans F250 is coming up on 30k km and will be doing a full service on it. what he needs to know is the 'best' heavy duty Auto fluid for the truck. Its an 05 with the 7.3L powerstroke with column shift auto. The Truck doesnt get used very often, but when it does it usually has a load on it. We ...

Re: Need help - can I exchange timing belt, drumbrakes by my
^^ agreed it took me and my old man 2 sundays to do the timing belt in my lux, wasnt hard, just lots of little things you gotta remove. as long as you have a manual that goes through the steps you'll be fine. we also had to put new cylinders and shoes in the drums for a RWC. the hardest thing was ...
