Outer Limits 4x4 Board

these are tow bar or low mounting,the one im talking about bolts to the frame thats spot welded to the skin of the rear door,in between the wheel studs for spare tyre...it only comes straight out from the wheel frame.

i saw a hinged bike rack that bolts through the spare wheel on the rear door,& folds out of the way when not in use,its not the one that hangs from the tyre or the toe bar mounted unit.it looks like it mounts the same as a high lift mounting bracket to the spare tyre bracket?? anyone seen this ...

EVERY MONTH I BLOW A 15 AMP FUSE IN A GROUP OF 3 UNDER THE COVER NEXT TO THE BATTERY,WENT 4WD`ING ON SUNDAY & NOW I BLOW A FUSE AS SOON AS I PUT IT IN.WHICH LOOSES 1ST, O/DRIVE,REVERSE LIGHTS & ALSO THE POWER LIGHT ON THE SWITCH,BUT THE O/D LIGHT ON THE DASH STILL WORKS WITH THE SWITCH ON THE STICK ...

i did it off the speedo, i did the 5 km signpost test on the freeway & at 1 km i was 1.05 km`s.& so on.
very happy anyway,its now only 2 tanks to fraser, not 2.5 tanks,

i have now got 475 k`s out of a tank. thats 5.58 k`s/ltr, instead of 4.11. AN EXTRA 125 K`S TO A TANK.
WELL WORTH THE EFFORT.THIS SHOULD SAVE ME HEAPS ON FUEL TO FRASER AND BACK AT XMAS.

it drives heaps better & more power again,

im getting 350 k`s out of 85 ltrs with 3.9`s auto & injected pet. & 35`s

what will i now get with 4.6`s ???(just fitted)

am doing a test now & will post what i get.

anyone know what i should expect??

ive got a mate with a worked 350 & turbo 350 auto in a gu2.8 running 4.6`s, he needs 3.9`s, we are doing the sway this weekend at my workshop. are the housings the same & axle spline the same??? i`ll let you all know how this goes, i should save a heap of fuel going the fraser isl from newcastle ...

thanks for the ideas,i found a thread on 4wd monthly stating the plate on the rh firewall has hg39 or hg46 or gh37,this refers to hypoid gear 3.9. mine is hg39.... also 2.8 gq & qu run 4.625 but are hard to get.. $600 bucks each diff set has been the best price so far,& thats trade price. cheers all ...

I HAVE A 94 GQ TI AUTO WITH 35`S, CAN YOU DISCONNECT THE LOCK UP CONVERTER OR CHANGE ANY PART OF IT EXTERNALLY??
IT LOCKS UP AT 90 KPH...

i had to remove suport brackets bolted to diff & lower diff to slide axles out far enough to get those figgin clips off,shafts are 1700 bucks ea from holden,we might go the gq diff instead.

i had the fun job of finding oil & fuel getting into cylinder on one of these at work a year ago & swore id never touch another one, the injecters are in removable buckets with seals & copper washers(sold as a kit from holden$80ea??), when ever you remove the injecters you have to replace these ...

Hey all, im replacing the fr cv shafts on a 97 jackaroo.the inners are stuck on the splines in the diff.
tried a ball joint spliter fork to wedge in it & no luck.
any idea`s.
