Thanks for the reply's i did give it some good loven with a hammer to no avail, but a mate come over last night with a 3 pronged puller and got them off with a few hits of a hammer Where did you get that puller from i cant find one big enough to fit on the patrol? Now i have to find a new radius arm ...

Ball joint removal tool (cant find one big enough)!!!

Hey guys
I'm in the process of replacing my radius arm bushes (GQ patrol) and i cant seem to find a ball joint removal tool big enough to fit on the tie rod
what have people used/bought that works (i live in sydney)
cars in pieces and i need to get it back on the road

i ran royal purple in a gq patrol for a while and i'm about to go back to it as it seems to be the best of all the oils i have run.
but i can't help you with the 5th gear problem.

Heading off soon for a big trip around Australia and It has come time to replace wheel bearings and oil seals front and back. Just wondering if most of you guys get genuine or just repco parts (whats longevity like)?

gq patrol 4" lift 33", united fuel td05 turbo with 3" exhaust on 11-12psi boost.
10.9 in the country, 11.9 in city (not for long need more BOOST!!!)

when does your td05 with the 20g wheel start to make some decent boost?
i've got a united fuel td05 with 16g on it and was thinking if i ever go over 18-20psi i should put a bigger compressor on it.

i would give patrolapart a ring as you will struggle to find a td42 at a standed wrecker
there is another good place that wrecks patrols in QLD i think (they put alot of ads up on ebay)

hey mate

just a boost gauge will be fine. A boost and vacuum gauge is not required on a diesel as it does not produce a vacuum due to not having a butterfly valve.

As the title says I passed my engineer certification and failed blue slip for a worn brake pedal (pluse windscreen wipers which are fine). Can anyone tell me have you fail a pink or blue slip with this much wear on the brake pedal

hey mate did you have an EGT gauge on it ?
it is very easy to get a diesel hot enough (with the fuel turned up) to melt or crack a piston if it hasn't been tuned to a sustain egt leave even with out the coolent teams moving
