can anyone tell me if a diff centre from a HJ47 will fit into a LN106 Hilux?

The old oil I was using was a 20/ 50 oil and was too thick for the 2.8 motor it sludged up and was drawing horsepower so to get to 100 i needed more revs. I dont know how accurate that assesment is but it does make sense when you ...

I have just started using Fuchs ultralube 15/40 diesel in my 2.8l hilux and it seems to be running a lot freer. I have done 4000 klms since the last change and have noticed I reach 100 klm/hr at 200 less revs. which must equate to better fuel economy or more power.

It is normal practice to reset the preload on the pinion when replacing bearings the slight difference in manufacturing tolerances can affect the mesh of the pinion with the crownwheel. You may need to add shims to adjust the depth properly in this case considering the time taken for you to pull the ...

With Leaf springs one eye has a military rap. It is an extra long leaf which coils around the eye further than the other end eye. usually this eye is always placed on the fixed pin as a safety feature. In the event you break a main leaf the diff would swing forward or rearward on the shackle but the ...

This is certainly a thought provoking thread. After reading this and thinking about it for a while I just thought Imight add my thoughts to the discussion. I am wondering if more than just the torque effect of the motor, drivshafts, and body flexing that is at work here. On drag cars when the power ...
