True. Currently it has an aftermarket turbo and no wastegate at all... The boost is insane and all, it goes great but I want my motor to last... I can't control it yet as it doesn't have a wastegate, unless I go easy on the pedal which defeats the purpose of putting a turbo on the old girl... Just g...

maybe also try wheel bearings aswell... I know they have semi floating hubs and they are different to landcruisers but it maybe something you can rule out... Both a mate and i have had this vibration through our cruisers and weve replaced uni's and checked our pinion shaft bearings and that but yeah...

yeah thats what i thought... Iv seen it on a mates 2h and it seemed to go alright... My mate that said to go for a ct26 is a mechanic and hes a fourby nut aswell so i had a fair idea on who to listen to but i thought if i posted something up on here i might get some more info on it... i just started the od girl up and it cut out again
the oil pressure gague was low but when i started it again and bought the oil pressure up with revs it seemed to be fine...
I guess this has solved my problem so thanks guys for the info... Its much appreciated...

umm thats one thing i havent checked but i will definately look at...
It runs well for about 30 seconds an then drops out but if i give it a little rev or two it sometimes stays running...

by memory i think the patrol turbo is a variable vein turbo and you are right, too much for a cheap old 2h. The ct26 is easily accessable for me but im after a happy medium for instance i would like the turbo to help me out for low down torque but at the same time ill be doin a bit of beach driving ...

Hey guys, i was just wanting to know what turbo will best suit my 2h. One mate says a ct26 off a 12ht and another mate says that a 2h hasnt got enough exhaust flow for a ct26 and he recommends a turbo off a 3 litre GU patrol would be better... Im stumped guys so any input would be much appreciated.....

Hi guys, i have an old 60 that im currently cleaning up a bit and just as of this week it has been turning itself off after the first start... It has a 2h in it and i have replaced the edic motor relay as the old one was rooted... I also found a cut earth wire that i have fixed up but i cant see any...

try opening the plug that goes into the lichter socket... There should be a fuse in there, it should read either 12v ** A or 240v **A. I recommend replacing it with a 240v fuse or anything bigger if it is only 12 volts... Thats just a start, i had this query once myself and i kept going through fuse...
