I had a 00 3ltr, Didn't blow and I still see it getting around. But I had nothing but problems with it. Diesel injector pump, cracked intercooler and 3 air flow sensors just to name a few. I now have an 03 4.2 and couldn't be happier (well my wife does, I went and got myself a GQ) Look I think the l...

Yep they disengage under load. When I bought it the bloke drove round a roundabout ( as you do ) with the diff lock in and you could feel it and hear it working. But yesterday we were testing it out by driving up an embankment on an angel so one rear wheel would lose grip first and as it would it wo...

I've had both, and while I did get rid of the 3lt because of problems (air flow sensors, diesel injection pump, cracked intercooler) I did drive it hard and through alot of crap. But from the sounds of what you want to do a current mdl 3lt would suit you fine

Team bushpigs navi here, thanks to all involved in the event, I had a blast (well for most of the night anyway. Lying under the front of a car in mud that's close to rolling while trying to re-atatch frayed cabble back onto the drum is not that fun)
Well done to all what a great event :)

Thanks to all involved, we had a great weekend. We are wrapped about coming 10th for our first run. We will be back for the Mt Cole one and hopefully we can improve on our 10th, but whatever position we come the fun of the event is enough to keep me coming back. The time that must go into seting one...

Well I'm happy with 29th :) It was the first time I have done anything like that (I was the navigator) and I had a ball, can't wait till next year. Knowing what sort of things to expect now after doing one I hope we could finish in the top 15, (but would be happy with 29th agine)

Thanks for the info David, do you know how he runs it with the other battery ie what wire dose he use for the terminal , is it thicker than normal to help with current drop, and dose the neg. just get earthed to the body of the car or do you have to run it back to the dual battery controller. Thanks
