Re: Shudder's when taking off
is the box doing it or the engine? Put new fluid and filter in the box and see if that makes a difference. if not, it would be something that a transmission mechanic should be able to pin point relatively quickly.

You will have to pull your instrument panel out just enough to get your hand in behind. It's not a big job.

Re: nitro diff gears and axles
Slop? Backlash? If there is too much backlash, they have been setup incorrectly or bearing preload isn't there. I built some Nitro geared diffs and they setup spot on, but cant comment on the noise as I havent run them yet. Yep, in 1 spot there is hardly any backlash. Roll the car forward so the ...

Agreed. need longer springs or flatten those ones out a bit. the flatter the spring, the softer the ride.

If it's an after market roof whoever fit it might have drilled the holes to far toward the front of the roof. I have fit a fibreglass roof before that had no pre drilled holes.

Re: Jimny gear stick problem!!! car stuck in 5th gear
pull the cover off, take the stick out and realign the selectors back to neutral, put your stick back in and off you go. I have a sierra that did the same thing so I found a spring that fit over the stick and put it between the washer on the ball of the stick and the cover to hold a bit of downward ...

solenoid or brushes are probably buggered. pull it apart and check how dirty it is inside. give everything a good scrub and see if that helps.

I have a bare housing that I am going to reinforce before I install. I am thinking 10mm plate to gusset swivel balls and 2 inch box x 2.5 mm wall for axle tube to pumpkin truss. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
