d-lux I am not too sure whether rasing the compression is a wise move. Sure gas loves more comp but when you turbo a petrol engine you need to lower the comp... might be best to look into it further... the last thing you would want is a leg out the side...

Marks gears for landcruiser

I am currently fitting a set of Marks reduction gears to my 60 that I got off a mate at a good price and done very low kms, however I have come across a small problem. The gears that he bought were for a transfer that bolts up to an automatic gearbox whereas my transfer bolts up to the manual ...

I haven't as yet got ratios but it is on the cards in the next few months. I anticipate that it will make a huge amount of difference both on road performance and off road performance. It's all ...

how do you know that you have the timing right? I know with a petrol engine you can hear the thing ping however the old 2h's are noisey and it is hard to hear the thing ping (other than its normal rattle)if the timing is too far advanced.

Do you spill time it every time you advance it? I have a 2h ...

It is because the 12H-t is direct injected as opposed to the 2h which has the injectors spraying into a pre-combustion chamber.

I think it is a garret but there there are no markings on it.
