What Revs @ 100k's? about 2300revs or there abouts, if you go up to 110 it starts to climb and 130 is up around 2800-3000 from memory
Stock - 31x10.5 15's bridge duelers

i get between 14-15L per 100k's

run it on pure biodiesel

bloke i buy my bio off has a piece of equipment you can use to heat up your fuel line, basically the engines coolant runs thru one side of the piece, and the bio runs thru the other side, it heats up the metal

i was told to keep a spare fuel filter, he had 1 guy last year have to swap fuel filters ...

im running on 100% biodiesel, exhaust smells like olive oil that is burning slightly in a frying pan i guess u could say, most ppl cant smell it tho

dont know how many k's i was getting on normal diesel as i just got the truck and have put bio in it straight up

anyway got 180 litres sitting in ...

So what is the standard tyre size?

i cant find the specs on my vehicle, where are they normally kept?

I've tried plenty of times to fix my own exhaust problems, but it generally works out cheaper to have a professsional do it!

me to, ive broken so many bolts on cars, had to drill out the exhaust bolts 2 times over, replaced a gasket 6 or 7 times, where once with a exhaust place ...

practice on someones elses vehicle

or why not practice on a spare panel... from a wreckers or somehting if u are worried about stuffing it up

We have checked with a number of suppliers and cannot come up with a
supplier for viton hose.

Where would you look or go to get viton fuel lines, i need to replace some of my line from the LR tank to the normal one, and i'll be running biodiesel so they recommend Viton

Just an extra thought for you to consider: diesels typically require more servicing (thus more $$$) than their petrol counterparts.

true, but u would get more k's out of it, so if its a long term investmetn its worth it

also if you can get bio diesel then u save quite a bit in fuel, so will get ...

reason im asking is mine has crappy sealed beams and i was thinking of putting the H4 7" from the zook into the landcruiser, they look the same size but just want to make sure

There doesnt seem to be much info on 75 series utes, just wondering the following(not much for hzj75 in search)

what is the most effiecient sized exhaust and extractors to get for them, for the hzj75 not the hj. Eg to add power and possibly fuel efficiency

Would you recommend for the following scenario

Primary battery for running car only
secondary battery for the following

Running lights, 1 x 100watt globe, to up to 2 x 100watt globes while driving at slow speed for several hours

other lights, reversing lights, and tray lights for lighting up an ...

what the topic says, like dogs who are confined to teh showring generally degenerate, i see the same thing happening with 4bys, newer models made to look good, and handle better onroad, with not as much importance put onto offroad ability

will we see a degeneration of 4bys in years to come?

im curious if there is any noticeable different in cab space for these cars, do any years have more or less cab space then others?

im a pretty big guy, 6foot 6 and find it hard to fit in most 4bys, funnily enough the zook i have seems to have the most room of all the ones ive been in ...

sounds like exaust to me, if so easy fix

yep, sounds like exhaust gasket is gone
easy to fix, my last car tho it went 6-7 times
i broke the bolts on it so many times, :cry:

u could start it when the engine is cold and feel around it when reving

but if u just went in it as a once off well ...

ive got the same problem, it is intermittent on mine, will be fine for a week and then it will go stiff for a day

my mech looked at it briefly and said it was either the steering box or the steeering wheel to box pole thingy that was at fault

were looking at getting a lux as our 2nd 4by, mainly as a hunting rig on weekends but during week being a daily driver around town

what i want to know is what are your thoughts on diesel vs petrol and gas for luxes

at the moment i am leaning towards a petrol and getting gas conv done on it.

damn and i thought i was the only one that consistently snaps hi tensile bolts, i snapped atleast 6 of the on my last car

could be the carby, i had problems with mine, they get choked up quite easily i was told

would only go up hills in 1st, and then at a crawl
got the carby rebuilt and the part that gets sticky redrilled bigger and its been ok, still a PITA tho at times

so i take it they drive better onroad and in sand, not necessarily as comfortable.

it will be a hunting vehicle, so no hardcore rocks etc... well at this stage

mostly driving paddocks and bush

so where do you source them from?
