Ok I think we may have been wrong in thinking the boost was cutting off . After a bit more discussion it appears as if the device fitted is connected to the fuel rail pressure switch and may act as some sort of resistor to doctor the voltage readings being sent back to the ECU . Trouble is that out ...

How can I increase boost on D40 Navara
A friend has just bought a navara d40 and he has fitted a tuning box to increase the fuel rail pressure . He has placed the car on a dyno and the device definately improves performance and you can map the increase in fuel pressure. Unfortunately at just over 3 grand the car experiences boost cut and ...

Ok well it appears as though
the solenoid is definately the culprit . was getting power but was stuck . freed it up with carby cleaner and then crc and operated it many times on the battery to test it and all appeared ok . refitted and away it went . unfortunately after driving for about 50km in hot weather it failed again and ...

Hmm sounds like a possible
cause as the trouble seemed to occur between operation . So I am looking for a wire on top of the carby ? and where is the solenoid located . I am not near the car at the moment . I do recall a wire attatched to the top of the carby (motor side) when I opened it but other than unclip it I did not ...

Carby trouble 2f

Symptons are that it will not idle and requires choke to start . once running it seems ok when foot is flat (secondaries open?) but shudders coughs and farts when trying to drive at slow steady speed . Have ...

Well I will know for sure in the mormning but the early signs are that I have repaired the leak.It appeared to be coming from a small diamond shape plate located on he drivers side bottom of the pump.Removed the 2 screws holding on the cover and exposed a diaphragm and an o-ring seal.Removed the o ...
