Wonder how they'll hold up to countless corrugations with two heavy 33" tyres on steel wheels on the back...? I'm very undecided which one to get for my 100 series... $1690 (discounted price, RRP is $2590) supply only for the Powerful 4x4 vs over $3500 Kaymar supply only (twin carrier for a solid ...

I was real keen on the SCUBA tanks at one stage as well and the local dive operator had a couple sitting around also but a mate and I checked one out at a swap meet a while ago and even though it was ally it still weighed a ton. Probably alright for a ute application but under a wagon they seem too ...

The SCUBA tanks are painted ...

Interesting. I've been wondering about this too. I've been wondering if the piston/mechanism in the shock would handle constantly varying pressures? Thinking about connecting them directly to my airbag suspension. Heavier load > higher airbag pressure > stiffer shock to suit. :P Neat idea! But ...

OK the IC208-H looks good, and I would like to buy two already modded to enable xmit on UHF CB channels.

Where can I buy them in Australia, or alternatively where can I find the programming information, software, and cable?

Can the 5 speed manual from a HZJ105R just fit to the 1HDFT?

Would think it would be wise to stay away from the electronic one though, it would be an even bigger job but may be worth it to you.

The 706mk2G - but it looks like it will be expensive as hell and probably won't be what I need. Cool gadget factor though. Realistically I'm happy to go multiple units, makes it a bit easier. I'm a fan of overkill engineering - if it is designed to be able to handle continuous xmit at 50w, then the 1/10th power it'll be used for UHF CB most of the time (5w on UHF CB channels, 25w on the company licenced channel) will mean a long life, easy work, and minimal heat for it. Plus it generally ...

take the rack off, for sure... will drop your range by about 10-15%.
what about tyres, lift, barwork, load, average speeds?

2002 FZJ105R GXL with unichip, snorkel, 2.5" exhaust, and 3" lift with barwork, 305/70/16s, and full of kit in the back @ 110km/hr = 20L/100 PULP.
