cool I'm not as crazy as I look. Greybeard you're right on both counts, it doesn;t happen from a rolling start and ml's are still doing it.

mmmm. I'll post up what the driveline people say when I get there. It doesn't bother me particularly either but if there's repairs to be done I will claim them ...

05 mk triton shudder

Had a slight shudder on take off in my triton. Has been there since I got it 2 weeks ago but I figured it might be a clutch now I wasn't used to :? Its not severe, just feels like a tiny bit of axle tramp. I'm used to the clutch so that ain't it. Only in first and reverse on take off too..... not a ...

New rims in time then.... these'll do for now  I lifted it a tiny bit with the torsion bars today. Never done it before so taking it slowly  Don't know exactly how much it went up but distance from upper bumpstop is about 40% and to lower bumpstop 60% if you ...

they fit on :) not a heap of clearance to the caliper though.

they scrub a touch on full lock hard cornering though which is weird being almost identical size. A 265/70 r16 should be about 10.4 inch wide and the 31's are a 10.5. I guess they're just numbers on the side though real measurements are ...

hilux/ 4runner rims onto triton

I've bought a 05 triton glxr and have some xterrains to go onto it. They're on hilux/ 4runner sunraysias at the moment that were fitted to my old 87 ifs 4runner before it retired.

Will the rims fit my new triton? Or should I go shopping for some new ones? Won't have the triton for a week so trial ...

thanks triton 2.8 :) Really about the kind of driving you do though I reckon. I do less than 10000km a year and thats made up of punting around the burbs with the occasional beach trip. I never do long miles or remote trips or tow anything heavy so would never get the best out of a diesel.

I value ...

mk triton questions

I'm going looking for an 05 triton dual cab in the next week or so :) Was going to get a club cab but they only come in pov pack trim and the missus doesn't care for manual windows  Can get an 05 glx-r for 25-28k which is a lot of ute for the money and still has 2 or 3 years warranty on it ...

had a similar problem when I broke the remote for the central in my old feroza. I was told that I could program an aftermarket one if I had an original for it to learn from..... very useful  Never did fix it.

An aftermarket remote console could easily be wired into your existing set up though ...

either one. Get a 4 door I reckon because loading and unloading wet sandy furkids through a 2 door might wear thin after a while. Vitara is the only 4 door option there

Extra Cabs with 4 seats

Shopping with a budget of 30k for a late model jap ute and have decided to get an extra cab/ club cab. Only need a 2 seater ute except for the very odd occasion where an extra seat would be real handy for a local trip. Really wanted a decent tray so dual cabs aren't ideal.

Tritons and hiluxes come ...
