Thanks for the info.
Wow a 98 with 145 000km is a lot of car for $3500. I'd love to find a deal like that.
Is there a problem with the manuals? Most of what i've looked at recomands the auto.

From what i've read v8 auto should be about 20ltrs/100 on gas?
Is there more maintainence and repairs needed for a landrover than a jap 4wd of the same age ...

What kind of fuel figures are you getting on your Vitaras?
In my 92 model swb g16a carb i'm getting 11L/100 on the highway doing just over 100km/h. Running standard tyres etc. I read somewhere it should be 8.5L/100 city driving, the best mine will do is 11 and is usually worse.

I saw this on ebay too. The rear you should be able to get springs from a wrecker to fit. 180sx rear, gemini front, datsun, read the vitara bible and search the forum or go to a wrecker and measure up.
The front you might have to get custom springs, or try lifted ome or king springs, etc with coil ...

I'm looking at an 89 V6 auto Terrano are they a good 4x4?

Also what are they like for parts being an import are parts and servicing expensive?

Vitara owners check your rear bar! $300 fine for towball
Got a $300 fine for my towball slightly obstructing the number plate yesterday :bad-words: I never thought of it being a problem. Cop pointed out it blocks about half a digit if you look from level with the plate, from the side.

I've found a lot of wreckers have sierras and a few vitara soft tops but no hard tops, even city dismantlers (rip offs) don't have one.
I wish i'd left it unlocked. The CD player is worth a bit over $200, it's gona ...
