The only thing wrong with a Daihatsu is, (and always has been) the lack of aftermarket parts available.

What size GQ radiator cap?

Just wondering if anyone can tell me what size radiator cap I should have for my GQ patrol. I'm losing a lot of coolant out to my overflow and I'm concerned my cap is not sealing under pressure. When I screw the cap on I barely have to push it down at all, and I think that's just the pressure of the ...

I've heard one design is better for torque, and the other better for more power higher up in revs, but cant remember which is which.

Can anyone give me some first hand knowledge of the difference in their car before/after fitting them; and what type fitted please.

I'm looking at getting a new exhaust and extractors, but different people have told me different extractor designs are best.
So which is best, Tri-Y, or 3-2-1 ?

I have never fitted it, but as far as I know it mounts where the floor drops down to the front, and sits tight up against the seats.
You could easily modify the mounts to suit your needs.

How can I tell the difference between a GQ and an MQ just by looking at them online?
Different body panel, different grille??

I presume the TB42 is carbie and TB42E is EFI?

Am I right in saying the EFI will have more power, and use less fuel, but the carbie is cheaper to convert to gas??

Km/L or L/100... either way works for me as long as you specify which your using ;)

some questions before buying a patrol

Hi guys,
I have just started looking at buying a patrol, and the GQ body shape seems to be what I am looking at.
Firstly, whats the difference between a GQ and an MQ?
Are there any 'common problems' I should look for?
Do they all have LSD standard?
What models have the sway bar disconnect?

Also ...

From your 'flex shots' you can certainly see how the mighty feroza could benefit from a locker or two :P (even a stiff LSD would help LOL)

I'm gonna have to sell mine soon, and I'm not looking forward to it. Such an awesome car.
Cool pics ;)
