I'de go over the LPG install really carefully as well. A well know LPG installer with a good name put my system in and one of the brackets chaffed through the ABS wiring and shorted out the ABS solenoids. The first thing I knew about it was a total brake failure coming into a cross road!!!! Toyota ...

Sounds a bit iffy to me. I'm running a 100 series on gas injection. Its a LPGas1 install and has not skipped a beat after 12 months. The car pulls harder up hills on gas than on petrol. I don't have an o2 sensor. The gas ECU works out the amount of gas to inject based on what the standard petrol ECU ...

When I booked mine in for the gas injection they asked if I had cruise control or not. Any ideas what difference that makes ? Do they need to be tuned differently ?

Gas injection should come very close to Petrol, and sometimes beat it for power. The only thing it will never outdo is economy per litre. Could be time to tune it, and service it, change the LPG filters etc. +1 I'm running a '99 4.5l on Vapour Injection LPG. First off the tapping you hear is the ...

$320 from Autobarn, but I think they are asking $360 now. There are a couple of ebay shops that have them. I've used it on a couple of ling trips and had no problems with it. The guys that make the unit suggested the next model up (over $600) if I was doing loads of towing but the AP150 held its ...

Problem sorted. For any other poor sod with the same problem, pin 12 (purple) on the 16 pin plug behind the drivers kick panel is the speed sensor for factory cruise installs on early 100's

. Two, I tend to get sore eyes from the glare of road signs during all-night driving eg Sydney to Adelaide. . Second that. I've used Hella's, Super Oscars and Turinis when I used to rally and the Turini came up trumps. I've just put the Turinis on the Cruiser and I'm finding the same thing with the ...

Hi,

Has anyone fitted a AP150 Command cruise control into a 100 series. I'm struggling to find the correct speed sense wire to connect to the cruise ????

THanks,

Early 100 Series Chasis differences & bull bars

Hi,

Does anyone know if there is a difference in the ARB bar that is fitted to the live axle 100 series with airbags an the model without ? Will an airbag compatible bar bolt up to a non airbag car ?

Ta,

My vehicle's economy is unmistakenably improving progressively, now on it's fourth fill. It is one of the other Italian topline makes ... But you still have to be ever so careful. I walked into one shop who was doing OMVL and I asked them about the model of convertor they were installing and they ...

As said before though, you would want to have a very stable gas pressure on your rails, as the variables present in the gas system can influence the running of your car considerably, and without a closed loop system, the car will never know its running rich or lean. The system I've been looking at ...

Haven't crawled under my car yet to check if there's an O2 sensor, but even if its running open loop then surely it would still at least match the petrol economy. Wouldn't it be easier to dyno tune as well if you can tweek the Gas map ?

100Series 4.5 LPG Injection or Vacuum

Hi,

I'm about to LPG my 100Series '98 model Cruiser and have been told that the ECU is tool old to get the benefits of vapour injection LPG and should just go with the the old fashioned venturi system. Anyone have any opinions on either ?

Cheers,
