I use Mercury Quicksilver waterproof grease on my outboard. Specified for trailer wheel bearings plus artculation points etc. Fantastic stuff in the wet. Could be worth considering. Buy it from your local marine shop

Adopt the Michelin 2PSI rule on sand, gravel, highway and you can't go wrong with pressures. Auto calibrates for the loaded weight of the vehicle, speed, heat etc.

Alternator light working fine. And battery charger circuit also fine. The seal is worn and this is usually caused by the shaft wearing. Replacing the seal usually means that the new seal will leak farily soon. long shot... with the old girl in gear, just rock it back and forth and give it another go, when my starter was dying years ago, this would get it going every time, apparently it just helped to make contact somewhere in the starter, coz once it started turning it was fine!!! like I said, long shot ...

The relays run the starting sequence. Glow, power to starter, check water temp, chcek oil temp , overinject, glow off, over inject off etc ( & not all in that order). Play with your starter if you like but it is the relays in the passenger side kick panel that you need to work on.

The system is very very similar across the 40/60/70 series vehicles.

Get a manual.....

Shoot me down... Because they are extremely sensitive to moisure due to the much higher compression. So need to make sure air and fuel is real clean. Petrol engins actually run better in some circumstances with a small amout of water in the fule as it helps to atomise the petrol better. Not the case ...

Yes there are calculations for mire etc that allow you to work out how "heavy" the vehicle is based on how stuck it is. However using a block or 2 or 3 etc doesn't change that basic weight so adding a block doesn't mean that you also need to double the ratign of everything else like shackles in the ...

Your drag chain from ARB will be rated. Every 8th link or so will have a rating code on it. Look up the code on the BillaVista Recovery Bible or one of the numerous lifting and hoisting WWW sites.

Double the shackle rating??? Think about the physics of it the weight of the car is't changing.....

There are 2 styles of transfer cases on Tojos that accept 2 different types of PO boxes. Narrow one and wide one. Advanced Trailer Spares in Bris who are the Thomas winch agents in Oz are the beez neez experts on this.

Had a 40 for 12 years. Keep up the regular spanner work and it works fine. If it doesn't work then you aren't stroking it enough....
