you can get universal retractable seatbelts from auto shops like supercheap. i have looked into doing this myself but got sidetracked with doing an engine conversion.

when my drover was standard i towed a old heavy car trailer, then loaded a mitusbishi cordia (much heavier) onto the trailer and towed it.

was worried about negotiating a big hill with the load bu the little thing has guts and did the job with credit.

i agree that soft tops provide great AC!

having problems with engine conversion. wondering if the engine check lamp or engine diagnostics not being connected will make the engine fail to start. the motor is a suzuki gti DOHC going into a sierra.

the main relay and fuel pump click in but the engine won't fire. any suggestions?

false. drover and sierra front clip have same dimensions. besides the cosmetic differences the only real difference is that drovers came out with springs with an extra leaf. also had the unique plastic windows. i know most people reckon they're more of a problem than asset but if you love cruisin in...

my drover did 290 000km before oil got shot out of it everywhere. read an article somewhere that reconned the life-span of the motors was about 190 000km. i decided to rip out the old motor and put in a 94 model gti DOHC motor to give me extra power. if going to the trouble, may as well make it wort...

thanks for the help but i got one from the redlinegti forum. only problem is that i still haven't been able to get the mongrel thing going yet. all the wiring is correct, getting the fuel pump to kick in when the ignition is switched on, getting power to and through the coil but the motor just doesn...

have the complete gti wiring loom but am using an extra shortened down version to eliminate a lot of the crap not needed. also have the wiring diagrams for the engine wiring for the gti motor and according to that everything is right. but it still won't fire. are there any other possible suggestions...
