Superior do a kit for the front but they suggest that you use shock hoops so that you will still have the full travel of your shock, cause the problem is that the shock is attached to the u-bolt plate so you have to weld shock brackets to the back of your diff housing. In issue 97 of 4wd monthly there was a new hilux with the IFS cut out and a Dobbin Engineering cross-over brace (which looks to be similer to the x link) anyway it had the 80 series axle set up in the front and looks good..

When I had my front done about 2 months ago at Arb it leaked from the get go and had to pull it out.They said the seal was sh$t and they replaced it for free but he also told me that they had a email saying that there was a bad batch of seals in some of the airlockers. the 4.2 diesel Dave i wasnt sure and in my manual that was the only two gearboxs that was in there h151f and h150f....
So i must have the h55f gearbox which is good to know if i ever need parts or another box.

I had no idea what the gearbox was sorry mate.. :? I think i need to buy a Gregorys manual

yeah mate ya spot on there the gear box and the transfer use the same breather... the breather is located on the very top abit behind the gear shifter...... hard to locate but you can always drop the gear box a little :armsup: I thought the same as what muss said i couldnt find another breather ...
