Good luck Ben. You've got a much greater chance with a car you know how to drive, and having the time to go over it with a fine tooth comb. I can't believe how late some of the guys are leaving it to get cars finished, the Torchmate buggy for example springs to mind.

What do you do for a job mate to get all the time off? Do you normally fly economy or business? The novelty would wear off pretty damn quick having to fly economy over there each time.

Mine had dual transfers, with a 1litre sierra transfer as the 2nd case. I had lux diffs with 5.29 gears. It had plenty of gearing, i ran 35's most of the time, but 37's were fine too. Sounds like a nice idea, the only problem I see is what if the owners break their vehicles during their 'own' time? will be driven on the road to go 4wding so a hour tops on road and mainly going to be doing comps money willing to spend 6K on the diff conversion will be running 35's maybe step up 2 a 37's later on
