Re: electrical question G16B MPFI

I made up a custom wiring diagram for G16B conversions into sierra but its for MAP sensors not MAF, not sure if it would help you or not.

Re: Lockers with or without couplers

Can tell you from personal experience that the NON-coupler model Lockright is smoother and less noisy. I had the non-coupler model in the back diff of zook for a few years and it rarely banged or anything (probably because it was slipping a few teeth) but it still engaged and disengaged around ...

Re: Snorkel flow rates

Another thing to think about is legality. I have heard that the new rules coming in ban metal snorkels due to further injuring dumbass pedestrians who wander onto the road. Although with all the indecision you can probably take that with a grain of salt.

You could prob fit the tank under the tray, but the tank is almost as wide as the zook itself so no way is it fitting between teh chassis rails.

Re: ASAP

Dont know where you heard that theres a certain order, but its not necessary to do it in any order. As mentioned before, shove all the bolts in and start the threads, then tighten them down reasonably equally. While the body is off, i recommend reinforcing the drivers side mount under the pedal area ...

There are a few moving parts that can jam up. Unless its seriously munted, all they usually need is to be taken apart and lubed. Its a pretty easy job to do yourself.

Re: Post pics of your Custom Rear wheel carrier.

Heres my effort (at least at 80% built stage), its a little overkill and does weigh a little, but the actual rear bar is hollow and acts as my airtank. Can hold down my airhorns for a few minutes with that resovoir behind em. http://www.ptjau.com/images/sierra/tyrecarrier.jpg http://www.ptjau.com ...

Just a small thing, you going to neaten the pillow block mounts at the front, they look like they would hook every branch it touches.

This is only my opinion (and what i use), I would go an Impco 425 mixer. They are reasonably cheap and none of the tuning thats involved with the GR mixers. I have never used a GR mixer so can only go on what ive read. There have been many who have success like PGS 4WD, but ive also read too many ...

There isnt really any problem moving the bumpstops underneath the chassis, but it does create a teeny bit more leverage on the knuckles if you land really hard all the time. Shouldnt matter though.

The simplest way to fuel it is LPG, turbo's love gas. But Sierras dont, there is no room for the tanks unless its a weekend warrior with nothing to go in back.

Benji, if you are only going to be running low boost, just go with the basic setup. Use the original inlet manifold and bolt up an Impco 225 mixer with a throttle body of some description, use youre existing converter (assuming its a 'simple' not 'complex' converter), then whip up a basic log ...
