Anyway I must say that it was awesome, that big ass V8 Intercooled Turbo Diesel was very smooth and had a heap of torque. He had just finished towing a car trailer up the moutains to Malaney and was very impressed with it.

NO !! you can't weld in bends

It must be continuous length of tubing for the main structure with smooth continuos bends and no evidence of crimping, wall failure or significant section weakening.

No you can't, unless they were a real bad fit in an 80 series.

The roof profile of teh 60 and the 80 are totally different along with the floor profile.

I am not saying you couldn't make it fit but it will not bolt in.

Hi Guys I am looking at buying a stock 80 series cruiser and want to put a lift kit it to freshen it up and get some more ground clearance. I will be running 285 x 75 x 16 tyres.

The car is a daily driver and spends a lot of time towing.

I am just wondering who does a good kit with 2 - 4 inches ...

Can happily recommend them.

I also have a Tube Mills True Bend but they start at around $35 000 with dies and need 3 phase power ... nice bender though .. :cool:

Yep

I have one of those and it works great. I have a 24 CFM compressor but have run it on a 15 fine. I blast Bull bars, VW floor pans, trailers etc etc no problems at all.

It takes about 5 kg of garnet to do a VW floor pan.

Plating the turbo is required due to the potential increase in power and heat. You didn't use to need to get a Diesel Turbo Conversion plated but when the re wrote the rules last they left the footnote out.

I have tried the following stuff, all on an LN106 90's D/C Hilux.

- Ironman - Dont bother saged quickly wasn't that good at flexing and rode like a brick.
- Kings - had them on with Koni Shocks, happen with the ride, didn't give real godd travel though, not much flex.
