Update:

I thought I would keep you posted on the exhaust situation.

Basically every couple of years we need to have MOT testing done in order to renew rego. I was told that my exhaust was too loud, and I needed to add another muffler.

We ended up ditching the straight through, and installing a ...

I believe that there is no gas in the system.

So all in all I think the best thing to do is go get gas in it, and then see if it clicks?

Well...had my first 36degree day for the year yesterday, which reminded me that my air con is still buggered.

Did some investigating and realised the following:

When I switch on the air con, I do not hear a click (like I do in any other car), and the engine idle stays the same.

So I am guessing ...

Best near the B pillar, i once had it mounted closer to A pillar, thought it'd be good but i was wrong. the spotties also lights up the dirt, grit, dead bugs on the windscreen. best at B pillar as it doesn't shine on the windscreen. ;)

Cool....I will try both poitions and see whats best.

As far ...

Spotties on the roof

I have tried searching, but I cannot find what i am after.

Basically I have a set of 4 spotties mounted on a singular roof rack on my fez.

They are not wired up yet, simply becuase I am unsure how to pass the wires from outside to inside the cabin. Guessing that through the sunroof/flip roof is ...

Another alternative what we do in Malaysia.
We grab hold of the old steel rims, and flip the stud face to the opposite side to get more offset.
It's a welding job.
If u can get hold of 8 rims u can offset the steel rims and run wider. Hehe

I don't get it?

What needs to be welded? I thought you ...

I too think that these would be a great on-road shock, but I question the off road ability of them. Admittedly my Fez is 90% on road 10% off, but I do want to have some fun during this 10%.

Is it just the mirror part that is broken, or the whole housing?

If it is just the mirror, it is possible to get that replaced (cheap) at a Glazier.

Just curious as to if hubs are a universal thing, or daihatsu specific?

IE: Can you use hubs off a another mark of 4wd? Will it be a straight bolton?

I thought that the hubs could be a possibility. But is it strange that both of them have shagged themselves at the same time?
