Searched and found this thread - I bought my 5 degree 3rds arms a few months before this thread was created. Today I came searching for issues because mine have done exactly the same thing as shown in thwack's pictures. One happened before christmas last year, welded it back up. Now the other side h...

I dunno how strong they are, but ford broncos have a decent looking ifs setup at least at the glance I've had at them, the arms actually travel right back past halfway across the width of the vehicle and they cross over each other

The 85% reduction may be a little dearer to fit as they require slight modification to the transfer case and possibly the selector fork, not 100% sure. The lesser reduction gears may not require those mods, not 100% sure on that either. I've got the 85% reduction in my 3.0 GU, they're a godsend. Occ...

3.0's have a dual mass flywheel, complete pain in the ass when it's clutch time.
I got mine welded up and plated so it could be treated like a regular flywheel and machined

I have heard from multiple people that the sidewalls are very weak in the radial claws. Four tyres and each has a plug in it... Anyone else confirm or deny this? cheers z I poked a teensy flimsy little stick thru the sidewall of mine, the hole was so small that I was able to use a tyre plug on it w...

badger I think your idea of properly is different from some others is all. If you're happy with doing a 6" lift on 2.5k worth of gear, props to ya. No need to rag on someone else's idea of properly though. To some people, caster correction plates and factory radius/trailing arms isn't doing it ...

I got a dpchip and an exhaust after reading people on forums say it fixes the low end gutless problem - it didn't. It definitely improved things otherwise though, but it still sucks until the turbo is working. If you only want an inch or so suspension, I'd take it to ARB for their standard OME upgrade

cheers millhouse the tyre size we'd like to go up to is just enough to be proportionate to a 2-3" lift so it doesn't look like a roller skate but isn't too much over the stock size and messes with the gearing too much. we're considering the arb lift, I didn't realise they'd do more than 2"...

lift and tyre size opinions for an '06 wrangler

My wife just bought a new 65th edition wrangler and we'd like to lift it up a little more out of harm's way and put some better a/t's on it that will also suit the lift, but hopefully not raise that nice stock low range it seems to have by too much. She almost always rides with me in my patrol every...

I don't disagree with you about the way some people just ramble on with hot air about the issue - but in all fairness, 70,000 or 120,000k's is a bit early in the game to be waving the flag of defiance in my opinion :)

recommendations for fitment of gearmaster in brisbane

I've ordered an 85% reduction kit from marks for my '05 3.0td manual, has anyone had them fitted in brisbane and have any feedback on where they got it done, or have anywhere to recommend even if you haven't had them done yourself?

thanks
