Sierra wheels onto vitara

Potentially a dumb question - so sorry.

Have searched but can't find...

Will stock Sierra rims of 1994 model fit the same year Vitara?

Or is the offset different?

I'm considering doing a half ruf with OME rears and putting CJ5 springs in the rear (thus moving the rear diff back a bit as well) I would like to know from people who have done similar things without a driveshaft spacer - how have your experiences been? I read Steve's write up on RUF's and he said ...

Sooooo...

I'm assuming then that even with an airlocker, when you have it activated it will still be a bugger to steer... but the advantage is when u dont need the diffs locked u can just turn it off?

Yeah cost is the issue for me... I don't think i can justify shelling out for airlockers... I dont have powersteer, but find mine very easy to steer anyway - feels more like a weighty powersteer than a non-powersteer car (esp in contrast to a vitara when i drove that - crazy hard to steer!) Anyway ...

Hey... Tire iron... just used and octopus strap (elastic strap with hooks on each end) and weaved it through the bottom holes on the wheel, crossed over the iron, and weaved back through the top holes and hooked the hooks together. Pretty easy. Could also do it with cable ties. I got the spare wheel ...

Ok, had a look, and by "shifter hole" what exactly do you mean?
Do you mean:
- take the gear nob off and pour into the hole at the top of the gear stick?
- take the rubber gear surround, nob and stick out and fill it through there?
- or something else?

Thanks

Yeah, as grimbo said, good ones are no less flexy. For eg i have found that the OME 40 mm lift is more flexy than my old stock springs. The ride is marginally stiffer, but they flex better (i dunno how that works - but it just does) I think as far as a 3 inch lift lifted sierra spring goes, cause ...

Hey, might be a bit late for this now seen as it sounds as though you have your shocks sorted, but there is a cheaper option for shocks. Hey I reckon you're gonna struggle with those tyres with only a 1 inch shackle lift. They fit at first, but as soon as you try to turn the wheels thats when they rub badly. I had to ...

Legal front bar

Hey Does anyone know what constitutes a legal front bar in NSW ? Does it have to go the whole way across the font of the car and infront of the tyres... like this: http://www.rhinoink.com.au/front_bar.jpg Or does it just have to cover the front of the chassis... like this: http://xs100.xs.to/xs100 ...
