Is bellhousing same from TB42 and TD42??
I just did a search and thought i would bring this old thread back to life.
I have been considering doing a manual conversion after i blew my auto up recently and can get a GU TD42T manual box and bellhousing. After reading this thread i believe i can just drill and tap an extra hole to fit to my TB45 engine.
BUT then i read this thread, which says they are different. And then to confuse me more a friend told me the TD42 starter motors are in different positions.

If anyone knows for SURE !!!! what differences exist then please reply. I don't want any think so's.
