body lift question.

Post by chuckwilltalk »

gday guys just a quick question, im planning on putting on my 2" body lift sometime soon, made all the stuff ourselves and have come across a problem.

The 4 bolts just to the front of the fuel tank under the car that hold the body on, are they attached to the car so that to put a bodylift on you need "female captive bolts". ive read this somewhere and wondering if anyone has just grinded the old bolts off and welded longer ones in there? this is on a 1991 Suzuki sierra JX with 2" raised springs 2" extended shackles.

hope this makes sense to some people or ive given enough details.

You wouldn't be the first to do this. Just remember that before attempting modifications like this it is customary to consume a 6 pack of Woodstock and cola, to ensure that the job turns out professional.

For sober people the Just Cruising kits seem to work.

Hi,

I sell the BL kits with the female bolts that make it a simple install. If you want a full kit or just bolts let me know. I don't have any stock at the moment ( due to selling more then I expected, which is a good thing) but will have more stock by the end of week.

Cheers
Greg

nah its VB or XXXX not woodys up in darwin little fella.

yeah mate id be interested in the price of the bolts and getting them upto darwin, was only considering cutting and welding because it looks like im gna have to weld some plate under there to cover the rust holes and considered it while i was under there.

engineering is someithing we stay away from up here as its more expensive to get an engineers ticket on your car than building my car has been
