body lift question.
body lift question.
gday guys just a quick question, im planning on putting on my 2" body lift sometime soon, made all the stuff ourselves and have come across a problem.
The 4 bolts just to the front of the fuel tank under the car that hold the body on, are they attached to the car so that to put a bodylift on you need "female captive bolts". ive read this somewhere and wondering if anyone has just grinded the old bolts off and welded longer ones in there? this is on a 1991 Suzuki sierra JX with 2" raised springs 2" extended shackles.
hope this makes sense to some people or ive given enough details.

You wouldn't be the first to do this. Just remember that before attempting modifications like this it is customary to consume a 6 pack of Woodstock and cola, to ensure that the job turns out professional.chuckwilltalk wrote: The 4 bolts just to the front of the fuel tank under the car that hold the body on, are they attached to the car so that to put a bodylift on you need "female captive bolts". ive read this somewhere and wondering if anyone has just grinded the old bolts off and welded longer ones in there?
