100 is the IFS
105 is the Live Axle
105 never got the Turbo Diesel, just the n/a 1HZ
105 do come in GXL, but rare. Auto 105 are rarer still.
105 have a larger and stronger front diff, are easier to lift etc.
Factory T/D is a wonderful engine. 1HZ is reliable, just a bit underpowered. Aftermarket turbo helps, but not as good as factory.

Both 100 and 105 diffs are the same.

All poo... no multivalve's. It is "different" to the earlier versions, seems to be just a little more pokey, however more prone to premature failure when turbo's are fitted and tuned too far.4wd_Haggis wrote: Also is the motor the same 1hz as the 80 or a lot better worked and redesigned...Is it a multivalved 1hz. Or am i talkin shit...

now the ifs hundys r suposed to be a good unit and have fairly decent flex but no solid style flex. Would one of these be worth a look in.
Or should i just keep it solid front and rear.
