Does anyone know what engine or which vehicle the t/f originally came from? I believe all t/f have the adapter b/t the auto and engine. JUST CURIOUS :idea: :idea:

I think the starter hump is on the wrong side.

I have a TF727 which will be scrapped in the next week if I can't find a new owner.
I'll be keeping the tail housings though, just in case someone wants them.

As far as i'm aware the case is a scout one but with the RR adapter ring it is canted over and probably also moves the starter hump as well ?

nternational offered the Scout with a variety of engines over it's years of production. The Scout 80 (1961 - 1965) had the gasoline-powered 152 4-cyl as its standard engine. From 1965 to 1971 (Models 800, 800A, and 800B), engine options were the gasoline-powered 196 4-cyl., 232 6-cylinder, 266 V-8, and the 304 V-8. A turbocharged version of the 152 4-cylinder engine was offered from 1965 to 1967. There are rumors that a few early Scouts left the factory with Perkins diesel engines, but these would have been special-order trucks and not a standard option. The Scout II (made between 1971 and 1980) had the following engine options: the 196 4-cylinder, 232 6-cylinder (early production) , 258 6-cylinder (later production), 304 V-8, and 345 V-8. At the time, International did not manufacture a diesel engine small enough to be used in the Scout, and so starting in 1976 used the Nissan SD-33 diesel engine as a diesel option. This engine was replaced by the Nissan SD-33T turbodiesel engine in 1980.

:D Thanx eaps for the info. I'm guessing from that the 392 came only in the Inter trucks. If I gothis way, I think i'll have a big probloem with the weight of the donk. reading on Binder bulletin it weighs roughly 760 lbs. or nearly 350 kgs. thats huge :shock: :shock: GUNNA NEED SOME HEAVY COILS THERE.

Know this is an old post but I am new here. The TF727 that is mated to the SD33 in my CJ10A airplane tug is a big block Mopar 727n not the small block 727 found in Full Size Jeeps and Scouts.

Probably still lighter then a 4BD1-T :D
